Before I ever ran a dollar of client money on Facebook, I spent over a decade in corporate America building large-scale sales operations. I built Ancestry.com from zero to 800 employees doing $150 million a year. Then did it again for a coaching company, built them to 500 employees doing $75 million a year. We did lead gen, sales, and fulfillment for some of the biggest names in coaching, and every big name you can think of.

I ended up starting my own sales company. Got angel investors in. One of the first clients I brought on was doing Facebook ads and for some reason that intrigued me. I sold my ownership to the angels and went all in.

Locked myself in my home office for six months, lighting money on fire, learning the Facebook ad platform. Then cracked the code. Scaled my personal ad spend to over $10,000 a day running Facebook traffic to affiliate offers. Did that for six years.

We sold everything in Utah and moved to the Philippines with our six kids. Traveled all over Asia, living the digital nomad lifestyle before that was a term. While there, Facebook banned my business manager and all 800 accounts. Suspicious activity. Took eight months to get it back. They said sorry and gave me my accounts. I ran on my wife's accounts in the meantime. Most people would have quit. I kept going.

Built a drone e-commerce store from zero to a quarter of a million dollars in 45 days. Did just under $2 million the first year. Margins were thin and cash was going to China so I moved on. But I learned e-commerce inside and out.

Then I wanted to know if I actually knew Facebook ads or if I had been getting lucky. So I jumped on at a full-stack agency. They had four media buyers. Clients were leaving left and right. Within four months they fired all four media buyers and turned all 15 accounts over to me. I plugged the holes and ran those accounts for 18 months. That is where I worked with some of the biggest accounts in the coaching and e-commerce space. Kajabi, ClickFunnels, bravethinkinginstitute.com, apparel brands, supplement brands, low ticket, high ticket, everything.

I decided what I liked about the agency world and what I did not. Bounced. Within 24 hours one of their clients called me and said his friend needed an ad buyer. A week later someone else called. One of those two is still with me almost seven years later. Next longest client has been with me five years. Then four years.

I only work with 5 to 8 brands at a time. I manage my load because my sanity and my freedom matter to me. I already built Ancestry from zero to 800 employees. I do not need to empire build again. You will think I am part of your team. You will not even realize I have other clients.
